Nautical Compass (the "Service") is operated by Apex Vision Holdings LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Nautical Compass uses SMS text messaging to communicate with users who have explicitly opted in to receive operational messages related to their account, workforce participation, and customer care. By checking the optional SMS consent box during intake or in your communication preferences, you consent to receive recurring SMS messages from Nautical Compass related to your account, workforce opportunities, availability requests, job and dispatch opportunities, booking confirmations, call-time information, schedule changes, reminders, replacement requests, cancellation notices, coordinator communications, onboarding notices, and other requested operational workforce communications.
Consent is not a condition of purchase, account creation, or service access. You are not required to provide a mobile phone number or consent to SMS messaging in order to create an account, submit an intake, or use the Service. You may use NC without opting in to SMS.
These operational messages are customer-care and transactional in nature, not marketing. You will not receive promotional marketing SMS unless you separately opt in to marketing content.
Message frequency varies. The number of messages you receive depends on your activity, assignments, and the types of communications you request. You may receive several messages around a dispatch, booking, or opportunity and fewer at other times. Participation in SMS messaging is subject to carrier and device availability.
Message and data rates may apply. You are responsible for any message and data charges imposed by your mobile carrier for receiving SMS messages.
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. Opting out applies to the applicable messaging program. For assistance, reply HELP. After opting out, you may still receive non-SMS communications (such as email or in-app notifications) where applicable, and you may re-subscribe by contacting us or adjusting your communication preferences in the Service.
You agree to provide accurate information, to use the Service lawfully, and not to misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service. You are responsible for your account activity.
The Service and its content are owned by or licensed to Apex Vision Holdings LLC. You may not copy, modify, or distribute Service content without our permission.
Nautical Compass provides legal information, tools, and resources through features such as JurisEngine, but Nautical Compass and Apex Vision Holdings LLC are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice or attorney-client representation. Communications through the Service do not create an attorney-client relationship. You should consult a licensed attorney for legal advice regarding your specific situation.
The NC Grant Engine provides grant and funding opportunity matching, eligibility analysis, and AI-assisted drafting tools. NC does not guarantee eligibility, funding, or awards. Grant opportunity data is sourced from public databases and may not be current, complete, or accurate. Eligibility depends on the funder and verified facts. AI-assisted match explanations, eligibility analyses, and drafting suggestions are advisory and may require human review before submission. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of any application you submit. Subscription quotas (AI-assisted actions, active workspaces, and document storage) are enforced server-side and reset per billing period.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apex Vision Holdings LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or SMS messaging.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
